Individual Post Madonna, part 1

Hello! So, it's sunday and we've been working a week with this project. Everything is going fine so far and we're doing the best we can to make everything work. The week started good with a lot of brainstorming and good teamwork and it's been going on since we started.
The team spirit is great even if we have different ideas about the design. We'll work that out.

But what we have done this week is, as I said, brainstorming and come up with ideas, we had a meeting with Johan from Doberman, who helped us forward with our ideas. After the brainstorming session we started to write a project plan.
We also had group processing, a chance to discuss what was good in the group and the teamwork and what we could do better. That included a task, which was to write down all what we had talked about.
Friday was the big deadline-day, with three deadlines. After we delivered our projectplan we had to do a peermarking. This was a cooperation between us here in Stockholm and the other DM class in Karlskrona, we exchanged our projectplans and did a peermarking to each other.

So, tomorrow we'll probably start with the prototype. We have to buy some stuff and start programming and building. This should be fun, it everything works out the way we want it to do! We have some more deadlines and we also need to do a magazine brief, which is another task in this module.

This far I have no worries about this project, we all work hard and want this to work but most of all we have fun! And the teamwork is good, which is the most important thing.

Truly yours,
Madonna.

Deadlines crossed

Hello,
today we've had three deadlines. Maybe the most important was the project plan, but we finished that yesterday so there was no hurry, we also sent our trade plan, which also was finished yesterday.
So all we had to do today was to wait for the other groups from Karlskrona to send their plans so we could do a peermarking on them. Each group here in Stockholm recived two project plans from two different groups in Karlskrona and we sent ours to them. Deadline in five minutes but we're done so no worries.
On monday we'll start with the prototype and start build it. We all looking forward to it.

This is what we work with..

Have a nice weekend,

We continue forward

Hello Readers.

The day is wednesday. Lots of things are happening. We continue to work with the project plan and starting to do tests with the hard and software. This part is crucial to understand and develop our skills which we can use to create a working prototype. With some help from a friend who study sound design, we came to the idea to try to use Max/MSP together with Arduino DE (processing). The two programs can easily be connected (according to him) with SimpleMessageSystem which is a function included in Arduino DE. Tomorrow we have process talks in our group. We also like to discover the possibilities with Max/MSP.

We have worked alot by ourselves today. Things are going on fine.

Cheers

With great technical knowledge comes excellent electronics..

So.. it's been 2 days and our idea is coming along nicely. This morning we continued our brainstorming and after a REALLY long discussion we came up with a nice base idea.
In the afternoon we had a little session with Johan Halse from Doberman which made the idea process a little bit easier.

While Madonna was away on a meeting Ola, Fannie and me(Gustaf) talked abit more about the product and started to write the project plan.

Brainstorming and stuffs...

More to come.. every day.. :)

The best way to have a good idea is to have a lot of ideas.

And so our first real day of working has ended. The day started with a lecture about technology and usability by Simon Källgård from Futurniture. After lunch we got the whole assignment and the gadgets we are to work with. It was sensors, LEDs, transistors and the king of all electronics; Arduino.
And then it was time to do some magical brainstorming. A slow start resulted in a bunch of really crazy, crazy!, but fun, ideas. We also planned how to work the rest of this week.

More to come,
